Our Policies
Policies

At Groovy Grooming, we are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free grooming experience for all our furry clients. To ensure the well-being of all pets in our care and the smooth operation of our services, we have established the following policies. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to comply with these guidelines.
Vaccinations
To ensure the safety of all pets, we require that all dogs are up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm medication. Please make sure your dog is in good health and let us know of any medical conditions before your appointment. We are not responsible for any pre-existing health conditions that may become apparent during grooming. Elderly or fragile dogs are groomed at the owner’s own risk.
Handling Aggressive Dogs
For the safety of both your dog and our team, aggressive dogs may need to be muzzled during the grooming process. If the situation becomes too difficult, we may ask you to pick up your dog early.
What’s Included in Your Grooming
If your pet has any existing health conditions or medical issues (such as heart conditions, epilepsy, or diabetes), please inform us when booking and upon arrival. We strive to accommodate all pets, but we reserve the right to decline service if we feel that grooming could endanger your pet’s health.
Matted Hair Policy
Dogs with matted fur may require extra care and attention. In some cases, this may mean shaving your dog’s coat very short to avoid causing them pain or discomfort. Mats can also hide skin irritations, and while we do our best to minimize discomfort, Groovy Grooming is not liable for skin issues that may be revealed. If you’d like tips on how to prevent matting, we’re happy to help!
Parasite Treatment
If we discover fleas or ticks during your dog’s grooming, we’ll provide a flea bath to eliminate the parasites at an additional cost. Ticks will be carefully removed, and further charges may apply. Please remember, parasites can pose health risks to both pets and humans.
Emergency Care
In the case of an emergency, and if we are unable to reach you, we will seek veterinary care for your dog. Any associated costs will be your responsibility.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
- Payment is due at the time of service and can be made via cash or credit card.
